This handcrafted Paulownia wood centrepiece features a beautiful central area topped by a thick, spongy blanket of preserved fern moss and two preserved plant pieces to choose from: Japanese red maple or Salix branches.

Its simple shapes together with its contrast of colours and shades instantly attract attention, making it an especially interesting piece for entrance tables, living room centrepieces or even a sideboard .

Its base, dyed with India ink, highlights a deep ebony colour, while still allowing the wood's own grain to be seen. Its surface, in walnut tones, gives the wood an elegant and contemporary look.

FINISH

Wood stained with walnut (extracted from the shell of the walnut) and sealed with shellac (obtained from the secretion of the cochineal Kerria lacca ).

Protective treatment based on linseed oil and beeswax , giving the wood waterproofing and an extra soft touch.

COLORS

• WALNUT : coloring based on walnut kernel, a natural substance extracted from the dehydrated walnut bark. It provides a deep brown color and a more "aged" wood appearance. It creates a beautiful contrast with the green of the moss and the preserved plant.
